I am 55, a retiree and a recent Medicaid enrollee under the ACA. In the Colordado Medicaid Estate Recovery program, they will recover “All payments made by Medicaid including…capitation fees”. I understand and agree they are entitled to payments made to providers and long term care costs and that they won’t put a lien on my home until I die.
The capitation fees, in my understanding are ” a fixed, pre-arranged monthly payment ” charged to the estate for the privilege of Medicaid access. I’ve tried to find out what these capitation fees are, but have had no luck after contacting Denver Medicaid three times. I have found some historical figures on the internet, but not current ones (http://content.healthaffairs.org/content…ion.html). Can you help with finding out what the current capitation fees are ?
